Kinder Surprise toys are really fun. Brett Mich and I had an rewarding run producing three lines of big fun toys that came in tiny packages.
The Hot Wheels line from Kinder Surprise featured a simple, push-down action that animated pipes on engines and revealed motors on tiny cars. They created eight different versions of this action, all of which featured the iconic Hot Wheels styling.
FERRERO KINDER SURPRISE Careatures assortment
Careatures was developed with the idea that a traditional vehicle would transform into a wild creature. Kinder asked us to redesign our mechanism to fit an animalistic vehicle whose claws would swing out wide and its maw would open. This sounded great and we designed this version and I animated it in Keyshot. This is what they made in the three stylings below.
